|Job Requirements:||Bachelor or its foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Computer Information Systems or a computer related discipline. Employer will accept a foreign master's degree following a 3-year foreign bachelor’s degree if the master's degree is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree according to AACRAO EDGE.|
Perform Oracle database management for employer’s clients, including installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, monitoring, upgrading and administration of databases for development, testing, production and disaster recovery, including RAC and non-RAC (Real Application Cluster) databases. Responsible for Oracle RAC 10g/11g database and 9i, 10g and 11g Enterprise Edition. Conduct thorough study and analysis of client’s business processes to identify and ascertain its needs and requirements in database. Manage databases to provide the accessibility, security and integrity of data in accordance with security requirements. Administer production databases for concurrent processing and load balancing. Provide Oracle RDMBS utilization reports as requested by client for project planning and incident troubleshooting. Performance tuning on RAC database and SQL. Apply CPU, DST and RDBMS patches to RAC databases. Clone and perform refreshes between RAC and non-RAC database. Perform security administration, including the management of profiles, roles, users and their privileges. Configure and manage RMAN backup. Clone RAC databases with various strategies, such as Cold/Hot/Logical refresh and RMAN backup. Implement backup and disaster recovery plan. Support SAN (storage area network) migrations by moving ASM (automatic storage management) disk groups from one server to other. Use Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control to remediate Oracle failures. Perform security administration in user privileges, configuration, security password updates, audit trails and usage monitoring. Perform space management for database containers. Monitor capacity utilization and perform capacity analysis and planning to ensure that sufficient capacity is provided to meet the forecasted requirements. Troubleshoot and fix problems related to Oracle database. Mentor junior DBA. Use Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, Oracle Applications 11i/R12, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, Linux 5.2/6.2, PL/SQL, C/C++, Windows, Unix Shell Script, Veritas Net Backup, Weblogic, Oracle Export/Import, RAC/ASM, Oracle Grid Control, Putty, BLIB, BC, RMAN and AD Utilities.
|Work Experience requirements:||5 years experience in job offered or in a related occupation as an Oracle Database Administrator, ERP Administrator, Developer, or DBA.|
|Specific skill or other requirements:||The required 5 years of experience must include at least 2 years of experience with Oracle database management, and using Veritas Net Backup, RMAN, Oracle Export/Import and Oracle Grid Control. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.|
